So, what is Boudoir Photography?

In some ways it is the extension of the 'artists model' but in a much more personal way, allowing you the freedom to express yourself in a way that makes you Feel Good.

This means that as you pose for the camera, you can put more of your own personality towards getting an impressive set of images.

One question I am often asked.

"Is it confidential"?

That question is easy to answer.

 "Yes, it is". 

This is one thing I can reassure you about and I give you my promise, your visit to my studio is treated as very confidential. Only the two of us will be aware that you are taking part in this photographic session.

Without your express permission, I will not allow any of your personal information to viewed by any other third party.

My mission as your photographer.

Boudoir photography is something that I love doing and I feel very passionate about it. So, with your help, I want to create some beautiful images of you that will make you feel good about yourself, to empower you, give you greater self-confidence and at the same time have some fun.

I feel very privileged when the images that I take achieve their objective and sometimes they may even open an alternative vision for your future where you start by taking the first steps forward on a new journey in your life.

I will do everything that I can to help you start this journey.

I am confident that together we will produce some high-quality images that you will cherish for years to come.

A little bit about me as your photographer.

Starting with my name, which is John Margetts ARPS, I am a very experienced photographer who, as both a professional and an amateur, have been doing photography for more years than I care to remember, in fact almost a lifetime. 

I have been involved doing portrait photography, glamour photography plus of course Boudoir photography throughout my working life.

I am a long-term member of The Royal Photographic Society and for many years I have been involved as a volunteer working for many of the subgroups. As a result, I was granted their Annual Members award which gave me Honorary Life Member, I am also privileged to hold their distinction of Associate, hence the letters after my name (ARPS). 

Just one additional thing that may be relevant is that I do have a current DBS certificate. 

As you will see below, I have carefully put together three options for you to choose from.

Each one has been specially designed to be slightly more progressive and just a little bit more risqué or adventurous. They have also been designed to be great fun and they will give you a fantastic feel-good factor coupled to a deep sense of empowerment and self-control.

Which one of these you choose really does depend on you and about how confident you feel and yourself.

To help you make the best choice, before you make your booking, I will show you a selection of photographs which illustrate the type of images for each of the three different options. I will talk you through these options and with the help of these sample images we can judge which one would be best for you.

Velvet Boudoir Photo Experience

The three options are as follows.

          "The Gentle Touch"          

This is basically an introduction to this type of photography and is designed y for those who are a little unsure or perhaps lacking a bit of self confidence in front of a camera. 

You will have plenty of time to change your costume and refresh your makeup and each session will last approximately one hour and as the session progresses you will gain more self-confidence.

The one thing to remember is that we will always be able to stay well within you comfort zone.

          "Good Vibrations"          

This is slightly more adventurous than the "Gentle Touch" with added advantage that you can be a little bit more risqué and show a bit more of your glamour's side, and of course have a bit more fun.

The "Good Vibrations" option is just the sort of session for the "Bride to be" or just for someone who wants to add a bit of spice to their lives or their relationship, or just fun for you.

This session will last for about one and a half hours allowing you more time for changes of costume, to gain more confidence and to explore the more sensuous side of your personality.

          "Magic Moments"          

This has been designed for those who are more confident about themselves, perhaps more used to having their photograph taken and being in front of a camera. It is a session that really allows you to feel free and one that will give you the opportunity for much more self-expression and to show your true colours.

Lasting for about a couple of hours this session will allow plenty of time for several changes of costume and makeup and for you to gain and become more confident as the session progresses.

However, as with all of these sessions you can feel assured that you can always stay well within your own personal comfort zone.

What is included with your

Velvet Boudoir Photo Experience?

During each of the above photo sessions a series of images will be taken and from these I will provide you with a full set of proofs.

From these proofs you will then be able to selesct which images to have printed as shown below as part of your session fees.

                        6 colour prints size 5" X 7" in deluxe phot folders

                        2 colour prints size A4 board mounted ready for framing

All these prints are on high quality museum archival paper using inks which have a high longevity rating, meaning they will last a lifetime under normal room conditions.

You may also order any additional prints selected from your proofs at the current rate which will be given to you at the time of your photo session.
